August 28th - TBG was asked by the Professional Tennis Registry to be a volunteer for the 2004 Arthur Ashe Kid's Day event at Flushing Meadows, New York. This is an incredible honor which I have accepted. The USTA expects 25,000 kids to attend this event, which will begin at 9 am and last until 3:30 pm. Our on court activities are in the morning, then we get to see the stadium show at 12pm. Jim Wehner (Slice of Life Tennis) will be working the event as well.

Monday, July 5, 2004 - 9:00 - 11:00pm -  George Hovsepian and fellow PTR and GPTA member Paige O'Neill conducted two tennis sessions for the National Kidney Foundation of Georgia's Camp Independence.  Camp Independence is a week-long summer camp experience for children & adolescents with kidney disease or kidney, heart, liver and lung transplants.  They welcome children & adolescents 6-18 years old who have been diagnosed with kidney disease, are on dialysis (hemo or PD), or have had a kidney, heart or liver transplant.  Thanks to Paige Miller of USTA Georgia for offering us this opportunity to serve the community once again.   This was a very rewarding experience for us.
