George believes that coaching tennis is about providing not only skills and tactics, but also leadership on the court. "My approach to coaching is all about partnership, enthusiasm, confidence, and most of all...FUN." The spirit of competition, self improvement, and camaraderie are what truly builds and defines character. George places a high value on these qualities because they not only make you a better player, but a better person as well.
George is certified through the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) and has achieved the Professional level. He is a member of the United States Racquet Stringers Association (USRSA), and is a certified youth coach through the National Youth Sports Coaches Association (NYSCA). George has 16 years of experience coaching youth sports including football, baseball and basketball.
George served on the USTA Georgia Board of Directors as Vice President for 2007 & 2008. George is also a proud member of the Georgia Professional Tennis Association and has served the GPTA as the Executive Director and Vice President. George has received several awards including the 2005 Independent Pro of the Year and 2004 Member of the Year for the Georgia Professional Tennis Association! George was also recognized bythe Professional Tennis Registry, an international association, as the 2005 Georgia Member of the Year. George was also nominated for 2005 & 2006 Professional of the Year for USTA Georgia.
